Dave Ryding Master Class at Stoke

One Thursday evening in June a group of Telfords young athletes took advantage of a Dave Ryding Master Class. An opportunity to be trained by and with the best male skier England has to offer whilst assisting in his bid to compete in the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.  Whilst the weather threatened to upset proceedings the rain never came and spirits were high. All athletes training enjoyed the coaching and felt that it had been a been beneficial to their technique & performance.

For those that don't know,  Dave Ryding is the first Britain to win the Europa Cup Slalom series, He is one of Britains top flight alpine skiers and will be entering the 2014 Winter Olympic games in Sochi Russia.

I think we need a better camera, Something that wont blur every photo.

Telford Winter Race Series.

Telford Ski Racing Club will be holding a winter race series of 3 events. This event is aimed at  racers with no or limited race experience. Races will be run through stubbies courses for all ages and will be run along the lines of the usual fun race. Anyone interested should speak to any of the committee members on a Wednesday night for more details. Entry forms etc will be available closer to the event.
