This weekend was marked by unsettled weather, One moment rain the next bright sunshine however the day was warm and long and provided plenty of opportunity for exciting racing. This was the first race that I have attended at Gloucester since the extension of the main slope bringing it back to its original length of 250m which provided plenty room for a 20 gate course.
Telfords under 12 girls Charlie Fellows and Elinor Drummond had their hard work rewarded with a 5th & 7th place. Our U12 Boys represented by Joshua Law recorded an 8th and Harvey Campbell a 12th. Moving up an age category to the U14 Girls Grace Williams achieved a 2nd and Isabel Drummond secured 7th position. Having no Girls in any of the older age groups I will skip directly to the older lads.
Kirran Girling U18 Males skied ferociously putting down consistent mid 18 second times only to be pushed into 5th place by a narrow margin. Dieter Bowers already racing on a swollen knee caused himself more mischief in race 2 with knee swelling to the size of a pineapple, knee problems resulting in a DNF race 1 & 2. Hope the knee is feeling better Dieter. Jamie Conde Racing in the Senior Class also having a bad day DNFs on Race 1 & 3.

Sunday found me press ganged into service as a Gate Marshall so did not get to appreciate the racing in the same manner as spectating. (Actually did enjoy being a Marshall despite being nearly wiped out by one female racer). Weather still a mixed back but Warmer with more sunny spells than Saturday.

Under 12 Girls Elinor Drummond was faster with each race finally resulting in a 5th place a two position improvement over Saturday. Ellie Jackson achieved a 2nd on the day despite a DNF in race 2 great comeback. Under 12 Harvey Campbell secured 10th and Joshua Law achieved 6th both lads improving on their positions over the previous day.
Under 14 Girls Isabel Drummond secured a 9th in her class while Grace once again was pushed from 1st into 2nd position on the final race of the day.
Under 18 Males saw Kirran Girling secure a 5th place with Senior Male Jamie Conde going out in spectacular style straddling the final gate of the race.
Last but by no means late Female U18's Alex Bullock secured a 4th place.
