Scorching hot weather very little wind and a dryslope in excellent condition were the backdrop for an exciting weekends racing. Very fast courses resulted in a serious amount of carnage with racers hitting the mats or the Grass! at regular intervals. During the team races on Sunday James Sieber had a heavy fall that left him complaining of a hip injury. James needed to be ferried to the ambulance onboard a stretcher. As far as I am aware their are no broken bones but will remain in hospital overnight. We all wish you a speedy recovery.
Telfords girls achieved two podiums a 2nd Place for Alex in the U21's and a 1st Place for Grace in the U14's.
Jordan Fellows U18 Male racer was presented with a shield for most improved British Junior Racer.
Sundays team racing started off well with the Telford A team (Alex,Kirran,Jordan,Jamie) winning three out of four races in the group stages only to be knocked out in the very next race on a disqualification for two false starts. The Telford open team (Grace,James Gibb, Chris, Brandon) were knocked out after losing all four of their group races the worst result of the day. The blame lies with the team manager who is that fool!! :).
