The summer artificial race calendar got off
to a flying start at Gloucester on Saturday 19.4.14. A huge
congratulations to Andrew Webb, who was taking part in his first race at this
level. Andrew skied extremely well in the very strong U12 male age
category. Harvey Campbell skied two solid runs, and achieved 7th overall
in the same age group. Charlie Deem who is also new to racing at this
level, skied into 3rd place in the U10 male category. Ellie Jackson put in
two very solid runs for her first race on full poles and achieved 2nd position
in the strongly contested U14 female age group. The afternoon consisted of
team dual slalom events. Telford’s team was by far the youngest but
Charlie, Harvey, Andrew and Ellie all put in solid and competitive performances
for each run. Well done to all Telford skiers who took part – it was great
to see you all working as a team and helping each other out – you made me very
proud.
